Cancellation charges are payable on the date a cancelled stay was due to start and are calculated as a percentage of the total booking cost:

A deposit equivalent to the 1st nights stay will be taken as a deposit at the time of booking and is non-refundable. The balance of payment is due on arrival.

We strongly recommend that you take out holiday insurance cover, in the event of cancellation through death, illness, redundancy etc, for you or members of your family.
Check in time is between 3pm - 10:30pm on the day of arrival, rooms will not be available prior to 3pm. Check out is by 10:30am on the day of departure.
SWIMMING POOL
The swimming pool is available for guest use only and at your own risk.Lone swimmers are not allowed and all children must be supervised by their parents/carer.This swimming pool does not have a life guard.
DAMAGE TO HOTEL PROPERTY
Guests causing damage to the building, fixtures or fittings will be charged for their replacement or repair. The person paying for the booking will be deemed liable if the guest themselves is unable to pay.
NO SMOKING POLICY
All areas within the building are strictly designated as non-smoking (this includes e-cigarettes), and all rooms are fitted with sensitive smoke detectors. The Havelock does allow smoking on the front terrace or around the pool, but please use the ashtrays provided. A charge of £50.00 will be levied for cleaning a room of tobacco odour. If an individual persists in smoking, they will be asked to pay the cleaning charge and unfortunately be asked to vacate the premises immediately, forfeiting all accommodation costs paid.
SWIMMING POOL
Pool opening times 9:00am – 7:00pm (mid-May to early-September) - the pool is strictly for hotel residents only.Children must not be allowed in the pool or pool area unless accompanied by an adult.We ask that adults be accompanied by another adult when using the swimming pool. Lone swimming is not allowed.No running or diving in the pool area. Strong swimmers only beyond rope line.No alcohol to be taken to be taken to pool/decking area. No glassware or bottles allowed in pool/decking area.
There is no lifeguard - the pool is available for use entirely at your own risk.In case of emergency - raise alarm immediately, there is an emergency button located on the wall by the pool.
LOST PROPERTY
A £5 charge plus post and packaging costs, payable in advance, will be made to return lost property. Any items not requested back within 2 weeks of departure will automatically be given to charity or destroyed.
CONSUMPTION OF FOOD & DRINKS
Only food cooked and provided on the premises can be consumed within, unless prior agreement given by management. We politely request that you do not bring Take Away food into The Havelock under any circumstances. Only drinks purchased in our bar may be consumed in the bar and on the front terrace. Tea, coffee and soft drinks are available for around the pool.
TOILETRIES
The toiletries in your room are provided for your convenience during your stay with us. We have chosen re-fillable bottles for environmental reasons and we ask that you do not remove them from the room. They are available to purchase from reception at £5.00 per bottle. Guests taking these items will be charged accordingly.
